Minecraft has become one of the best horse gaming titles for our generation. Mods like SWEM have made it possible to reimagine the world into a horse haven, allowing YouTubers like Abigail Pinehaven and just peachy to make engaging and fun horse content for years.
But some horse mods are darker than others.
Silent Saddle – Creepy Horse is a mod by Xyz4 that brings to life the terrifying creature from LookOut2DD’s video series. LookOut2DD (a secondary channel from LookOut3D) is a Minecraft player known for his creepy and spooky video series.
In this particular series, it starts when LookOut2DD boots up a mod he made when he was a kid. He can’t remember what the mod exactly did, but soon realizes something is terribly wrong.
He finds a pig with a saddle and an ominous note that says:
• DO NOT ASK WHY IT IS HERE
• DO NOT ENCLOSE IT
• LET IT OBSERVE
• WHEN THE TIME COMES YOU MUST FIND IT
• ALWAYS KEEP A SADDLE NEAR
• COMPLETE WITH HONESTY AND INTEGRITY

It also comes with a dire warning:
From here, the game continues as normal, with some minor peculiarities. A donkey that keeps looking at him, and a strange creature that appears in the distance. A horse. Or a kind of horse. It does not fit into the Minecraft landscape. Worse than that, its head seems disconnected from its body and its eyes are forward facing, like a human… or a predator. When he tries to approach the creature, it disappears.
Unfortunately, this is not the last time he’ll see it.
The next event is a sudden timer and announcement: 30 minutes. Saddle it.
Our hero, confused, has forgotten the convenient note from before and decides to ignore the timer and message in favor of building a house. The horse, however, has other ideas—it really wants that saddle. And then, it appears. LookOut2DD cries out when the thing pops up out of nowhere. Now close up, we see its wrinkled body, its stick-like neck crackling and twisting as it extends from what appears to be an open wound.
It’s not a pretty sight.
Once LookOut2DD has figured out what his new ‘friend’ wants, he quickly saddles the horse and the timer disappears. For a moment, the horse and player look at each other, the horse’s head turning and twisting to look at his new friend. Eventually, though, it disappears again.
This sequence of events happens again. Twice. Each time the timer is shorter, and the horse hides better, ramping up the tension.
Desperate during the third attempt, with barely five minutes, LookOut2DD buckles and decides to use cheats to find the horse, but as we all remember from the original note:
COMPLETE WITH HONESTY AND INTEGRITY
Creepy Horse does not like cheaters.
