Palia, the popular cozy MMO from Singularity 6, has finally added horses to the game alongside a brand new area: The Royal Highlands!
Released into open beta on August 10, 2023, Palia has managed to capture the hearts and devotion of cozy-game fans around the globe. But for the longest time, players have begged for mounts to be included. We do, after all, have stables in-game. Why not some pretty mounts to go with it?
Palia finally answered that request on May 12, 2026, with The Royal Highlands Expansion, which added not only horses but a large, rolling landscape for players to gallop around in.
The update included three different breeds: the Dawnspur, the Akindu Thoroughbred (based on the Arabian horse), and the Phoenixfire Dawnspur, which can have fiery manes and tails. The horses can also be bred, allowing for wildly different coat colours and textures. This can be achieved on your ranch, where a nice variety of animals can already be purchased to give you some delicious produce. Our equine friends give us manure for our garden—certainly not delicious, but absolutely handy!
The expansion further includes a new character, more story quests, new creatures to hunt, new side quests, new items, and of course, the Royal Highlands to explore.
If you’ve been considering picking up Palia before, now might be the best time to jump in—if only for the pretty horses.
