Equinox: Homecoming, the MMO horse game from Blue Scarab Games, has released a demo for players to enjoy—at least for a short while. In an announcement on their Steam page and Discord, they say:
“The free demo is available for everyone until July 21st and great way to give Equinox a try without committing to buying – but beware, the mystery may drag you along deeper than you ever thought… See you around Alderwood!”
The game centers around Alex, who returns to Alderwood in search of her mother and is pulled into a cult mystery. What sets the game apart is its dark tone and adult storytelling, instead of the usual cutesy fare we often find in horse games. Developers who worked on Helldivers and Star Stable Online also worked on Equinox: Homecoming—although we are not firing Eruptors from horseback.
Newest updates for the game include the Arabian, Chapter Five (which takes us to a brand new liminal space), and some new exotic tack. Currently, they are working towards releasing Chapter Six after summer, along with some new horse coats.
