SpurTrail, the story-driven horse game from Vidunder Games, is building towards the demo release. And if all goes well, it could potentially release as early as August!
SpurTrail is a story-driven game that tells the story of a man who takes the trails out into the Scandinavian wilderness to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The game centers around the connection between rider and horse, and the developer has already shared some sneak peeks of the story, showing in what poor state you find the horse and how you slowly nurse it back to health.
It is a fresh look at the horse game genre, placing emphasis on the bond between horse and rider instead of adding as many coats or horse variations as possible. It is a story about deeper connection, and we will hopefully see a demo soon!
In a recent Instagram post, the developer stated:
“We are working on the first playable demo which will focus solely on the horse’s movement, how handling feels, changing lead leg in canter to take sharper turns, how to increase and decrease gait speed, and the jump, with the goal to have it open for anyone to play and provide feedback on by the end of summer/August!”
As a game that stands out against the rest, SpurTrail promises to be something different.
